Roma, 5 Settembre 2023 – Nonostante i potenziali problemi derivati dalla clausola presente nel suo contratto con il Napoli (difficoltà che le parti stanno cercando di risolvere con una trattativa privata) Luciano Spalletti alla fine è diventato il nuovo C.T. della Nazionale italiana e a breve affronterà i primi impegni ufficiali come allenatore dell’Italia. Come ogni C.T. anche Spalletti sarà ovviamente impegnato nel seguire i risultati di calcio in tempo reale per avere una contezza chiara delle convocazioni e delle scelte da fare. Già dalla sua prima lista dei convocati, però, si possono ricavare alcune indicazioni, così come pure dalle sue prime parole in conferenza stampa. Il nuovo C.T. della Nazionale ha subito specificato quale sarà il suo credo tattico. Si inizierà infatti con un 4-3-3, modulo che lo ha portato alla conquista dello Scudetto come allenatore del Napoli. Quando le partite saranno difficili da sbloccare, il tecnico ex Inter e Roma non ha escluso però di poter passare al 4-2-3-1, modulo più offensivo che Spalletti ha utilizzato moltissimo in passato. Spalletti ha immediatamente chiarito anche come saranno determinanti le fasi di recupero palla e di possesso, ossia le due fasi principali per rendere il calcio della Nazionale propositivo e offensivo La lista degli esclusi eccellenti dalle prime convocazioni della Nazionale è stata abbastanza netta rispetto alle convocazioni del suo predecessore Roberto Mancini. Spalletti ha spiegato che le loro esclusioni sono dovute a una carenza di minutaggio, che potrà essere ovviata soprattutto dall’ex Pescara, il quale sembra destinato alla Saudi League nel giro di qualche giorno (lì il mercato chiude il 18 settembre). Anche in attacco Spalletti ha escluso due potenziali attaccanti in orbita Nazionale come Kean e Scamacca, sempre per la medesima mancanza di minutaggio. Tra i due, certamente è Scamacca quello che sembra avere più opportunità di recuperare terreno. D’altro canto, Spalletti ha anche deciso di convocare alcuni giocatori che, per varie motivazioni, era stati ignorati dal precedente C.T. Anche Napoli e Roma vantano un blocco importante di giocatori: i Campioni d’Italia daranno alla Nazionale Meret, Di Lorenzo, Politano e Raspadori, mentre i giallorossi forniranno Mancini, Spinazzola, Cristante e Pellegrini. La squadra che però vanta più convocati è l’Inter, con Bastoni, Darmian, Dimarco, Frattesi e Barella. Nelle convocazioni di Spalletti si rivedono anche Biraghi e Locatelli, permane la fiducia in Zaniolo e Retegui, anche Gnonto (che sembrava tra i più a rischio) è stato convocato.
