SpectrumLeaf Launches COCO: A Game-Changer in the Nicotine Pouch Market

(Adnkronos) – STOCKHOLM, Sept. 15, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — COCO nicotine pouches, the latest innovation from SpectrumLeaf AB, has now been officially launched in key European markets including Sweden and Switzerland. Breaking away from the conventional white nicotine pouch approach, COCO is the first nicotine pouch that leverages the highly porous structure of coconut coir fibres as its core to enable a smoother and longer lasting release of both flavours and nicotine.     "SpectrumLeafs' mission has always been to break conventional moulds to develop unique products with the customer in mind. The concept of COCO is a reimagined pouch developed as a response to the nearly identical all-white nicotine pouch segment. The realization of COCO from concept to product reflects exactly how we've managed to combine heritage, authenticity and just the right amount of counter reaction to this homogenization," shares Felix Sundström, CEO of SpectrumLeaf AB. "However, COCO would not have been possible without Cannadips, a Californian-based brand led by CEO Case Mandel specializing in pouch-in-mouth technology such as proprietary delivery methods and all-natural flavourings. It's the combination of Scandinavian pouch expertise with Cannadips' product formulation and exclusive flavour technology that truly made COCO possible. We've also partnered up with some of the most reputable pouch resellers such as the Haypp Group via Snusbolaget.se and Nettotobak.se in Sweden and Snushus in Switzerland to offer COCO directly to pouch enthusiasts," continues Mr. Sundström. COCO is where natural goodness meets genuine satisfaction and uses only carefully selected ingredients such as natural sweeteners and certified organic palm oil. COCO nicotine pouches are vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free and will initially be available in 4 flavours of Natural Mint, Tropical Mango, Clean Peach, and Blue Razz. For more information, visit COCO's official website at thecocopouch.com. About SpectrumLeaf AB SpectrumLeaf AB is a company dedicated to selecting and sourcing premium CBD products in unique formats according to customers' collective needs. MedAlliance Announces Enrollment of over 1,660 Patients in Landmark SELUTION DeNovo Study

(Adnkronos) – GENEVA, Sept. 15, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — MedAlliance has announced enrollment of over 1,660 patients in its ground-breaking SELUTION DeNovo coronary randomized study. Recruitment is now half way towards a planned 3,326 patients. SELUTION DeNovo compares the treatment strategy using a novel sirolimus drug-eluting balloon (SELUTION SLR), versus any limus drug-eluting stent (DES). SELUTION DeNovo is the largest DEB study ever initiated, involving up to 70 participating sites across 15 countries. Patients are randomized before any vessel preparation to reflect current medical practice and to reduce bias. The objectives of the study are to demonstrate non-inferiority at both one and five years, and superiority for target vessel failure (TVF) at five years. This study is designed to change medical practice, as the majority of de novo coronary lesions are currently treated with a permanent metallic stent. SELUTION SLR consists of an angioplasty balloon coated with MicroReservoirs containing a mixture of biodegradable polymer and the anti-restenotic drug sirolimus. These MicroReservoirs provide controlled and sustained release of the drug for over 90 days, similar to a DES, but without leaving behind a metal stent, which has been associated with a complication rate of 2% annually. "This is a major milestone for the SELUTION DeNovo trial, as it is now the largest DEB study ever conducted," said Co-Principal Investigator Professor Christian Spaulding, Cardiology Department, European Hospital Georges Pompidou, Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris and Paris Cité University, Paris, France. "The study is performed in a true all-comers population and is not just looking at small vessel artery disease. It is encouraging that the Drug and Safety Monitoring Board has no concerns, voting unanimously for the trial to continue as planned, as there are no worrying protocol deviations and no significant differences between the groups. We see investigators being comfortable using this novel approach and expect the enrollment to be completed within the next 12 months." "This trial has the potential to change medical practice, not only in Europe, but also in the US, China and Japan, benefitting patients around the globe," added Jeffrey B. Jump, MedAlliance Chairman and CEO. "We are currently enrolling US patients in our IDE coronary ISR, peripheral BTK and SFA studies. The coronary SELUTION4DeNovo IDE trial is due for enrolling its first US patient at the beginning of Q4 2023." SELUTION SLR was awarded CE Mark Approval for the treatment of coronary artery disease in May 2020. MedAlliance was the first drug-eluting balloon company to receive FDA Breakthrough Designation status. In addition to the BTK and superficial femoral artery (SFA) indications for which the company received FDA IDE approval in May and August 2022, MedAlliance received coronary in-stent restenosis (ISR) IDE approval in October 2022 and de novo coronary artery lesions approval on January 6th 2023. This will complement the substantial experience that the company has gained with the SELUTION DeNovo trial in Europe. MedAlliance's unique DEB technology involves MicroReservoirs which contain a mixture of biodegradable polymer intermixed with the anti-restenotic drug sirolimus applied as a coating on the surface of an angioplasty balloon. These MicroReservoirs provide controlled and sustained release of the drug for up to 90 days. MedAlliance's proprietary CAT™ (Cell Adherent Technology) enables the MicroReservoirs to be coated onto balloons and efficiently transferred to adhere to the vessel lumen when delivered via expansion of the balloon. SELUTION SLR is commercially available in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas (outside USA) and most other countries where the CE Mark is recognized. Over 40,000 units have been used for patient treatments in routine clinical practice or as part of coronary clinical trials. About MedAlliance MedAlliance is a medical technology company which announced a staged acquisition by Cordis in October 2022. Headquartered in Nyon, Switzerland, MedAlliance specializes in the development of ground-breaking technology and commercialization of advanced drug device combination products for the treatment of coronary and peripheral artery disease. Deliverect Partners with Uber Direct to Empower Restaurants to Enhance and Scale Delivery Operations

(Adnkronos) – Two-way integration, live in nine markets, enables food service businesses to drive positive customer experience and revenue NEW YORK, LONDON AND BRUSSELS, Sept. 15, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Deliverect, a global scale-up that integrates and accelerates online orders for restaurants and food businesses, and Uber (NYSE: UBER) announced a new global partnership to help restaurants better manage and grow their delivery operations. With Deliverect Dispatch, restaurants can scale their orders by offering fast and reliable white-label delivery powered by Uber Direct as a preferred partner.      Restaurants using both Deliverect and Uber Direct can now seamlessly manage their customers' experience from the moment they engage on their sales channel to the moment it's delivered. Whether the restaurant receives orders on their own app, website, or social channels, through Deliverect Dispatch they can tap into the network of couriers who use the Uber app as an option for cost-efficient, on-demand delivery, helping them better serve customers while keeping control of their margins. As a white-label service, Uber Direct enables restaurants to offer delivery while maintaining their brand and customer data and builds on an Uber Eats – Deliverect business relationship that dates back to 2018. Deliverect's Uber Direct integration empowers businesses to foster relationships with their customers, build loyalty, and scale delivery to meet sales demand. With Deliverect Dispatch, back-end processes are streamlined through integration with the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) for speed and order accuracy. Orders made through a restaurant's owned channels are assigned automatically to Uber Direct and placed into the business' existing kitchen operations, meaning restaurants can scale their first-party sales channels without increasing operational complexity within their kitchen. Restaurants can also keep customers updated with real-time delivery statuses. Additionally, they can set the Uber Direct delivery fee pricing their customers pay for express, same-day, and scheduled deliveries, with no Marketplace Fees or hidden charges for the business. This means more options for fast, cost-effective delivery for customers – and benefits to the bottom line for restaurants. "We're thrilled to deepen our partnership with Deliverect to make it easier for merchants to offer delivery in a way that works for them and scales with their growth," said Jordi Suarez, Global Head of Uber Direct. "On-demand delivery is no longer a luxury—today, it's a basic consumer expectation. "By expanding our partnership with Uber to bring the power of Uber Direct to our customers, we are providing restaurants with more tools to enhance and grow their online food sales, boosting both revenues and customer experience." Restaurants using the integration can experience streamlined operations and increased opportunity for revenue, among other benefits.  "Popchew is creating the funnest food brand on the planet by combining a unique digital experience with incredible food and seamless delivery," said Nick Sopchak, Co-Founder and CEO of Popchew.
